Matthew 19:14 ..."Let the children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

Have I said lately how much I LOVE having a 4 year old?!!! We are loving this age Jackson is in for so many reasons, but especially for the conversations we have with him and his inquisitive thoughts.
So the other day, we were driving home from running our morning errands and it had been kind of a quiet drive. I could tell Jackson was in deep thought. Anyway, Jackson spoke up and asked, "Mommy, how can we get to Jesus"? I was taken back for a second because I felt like telling him about death would be so scary for such a young child to understand, so I told him the honest answer that we would have to die and go to be with him in heaven or He may come back to get us before then. But I said, if we want to be with Jesus we have to ask him to be in our hearts and believe that God sent him to die on a cross for our sins because he loved us so much and that he is alive now. I went on to say that He promises us that if we believe, we will be saved and we will live forever with Him in heaven! He went on to ask what it will be like when Jesus comes to get us. I told him that it would be so great and that there will be so many angels and he'll come riding on a horse. He asked if it would be loud, and I said it probably will be loud, but it won't be scary. (You can tell what his fears are, loud noises ie thunder). We're working on how God doesn't give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power!
The car got quiet for a few seconds, maybe because he was processing all of this, and then with this big smile on his face, he said, "So when's he coming, because I believe!!!"
I wish I could have recorded this conversation because hearing that sweet boy's voice, say , "so when's he coming, because I believe, was incredible! So joyful! So innocent!
I went on to tell him that we don't know when he's coming. It will be a surprise!!! Jackson loves surprises!
